Google Drive with Dolphin broken with Plasma 6?

If I was rude, I apologize. I have a lot of respect for KDE developers, including you. KDE is already my favorite. But it’s very frustrating not being able to use Google Drive integration on KDE.

Issues with google drive are usually induced by google changing its API every now and then, or adding tedious bureaucratic steps. Either way quite a pain to fix. We don’t have the manpower to follow their evolution every 6 months to 1 year at their will.
FOSS is supposed to be maintained by its users (or rather part of) or its maintainer to be supported by its users, here it falls short. I don’t use google drive and no current devs either. Your pain is an incentive for to do something about it, but the pain to fix it is simply greater when they are a lot of others bugs to fix. Maybe eventually I will something about it, but I’d rather let somebody else fix it.
You can compare it to kdeconnect that lost some features following Android added restriction, but gets fixed.

On the other hand, FOSS self-hosting solutions, nextcloud and owncloud have advanced integration with dophin that the companies behind maintain themselves.

If Gnome’s Google Drive integration encountered the same issue and crashed for the same reason, I could understand what you’re saying. But are you suggesting that the Gnome team has more people than you do? Or that Rclone, which currently has a working but very slow synchronization option with Google Drive, has more resources than the KDE team? I’m sorry, but I’m asking out of genuine curiosity, not to be ironic. I recently switched from Windows to Linux.

I also respect the personal circumstances of the developers. I’m aware that expecting an immediate solution would be overly optimistic. Just getting confirmation that the issue is acknowledged and being worked on would be enough

Hello. Can someone please try it on the Debian based distro?

@Arefin_Karim WHAT is your source? How do you know this??

You are running old KDE gear version. Fedora uses newer KDE gear version. YOU are running plasma 5. Ubuntu messed this thing on this very update. I also was using Kubuntu. This very issue was also in Arch and Fedora when Plasma 6 came out. But This was fixed after 5 months on Fedora with the KDE Gear 24.05.2. I think You may need to wait until Kubuntu 24.10 (i am not sure as I am a regular linux user with experience of only 2 years.)
I basically got no source it is just an assumption of Kubuntu release cycle.
Edit: On debian it still works.
