480Hz not available for 1440p in KDE display settings - stuck at 360Hz

Issue:

  • At 2560x1440 resolution, my max refresh rate option is only 359.98 Hz
  • At 1920x1080 resolution, I can select up to 479.99 Hz
  • I want to use 480Hz at my native 1440p resolution but it’s not showing up as an option in the KDE display settings dropdown

Setup:

  • Monitor: ASUS ROG SWIFT PG27AQDP
  • Driver: nvidia (proprietary)
  • Using DisplayPort connection
  • Arch Linux with KDE Plasma

Fixed in newest NVIDIA driver 580.105.08

“Fixed an issue that would prevent large resolution or high refresh rate modes like 7680x2160p@240hz from being available when using HDMI FRL or DisplayPort.”
