90 clips missing - my project won't load - but I know where the clips are on my C drive

My clips are on C drive, user, AppData, Roming, kdenlive, .backup So where should I move them? what to do? thanks, a novice, Larry G

I’m assuming you want to use the clips in Linux so the easiest way would be to copy them to a flash drive or any attached storage that is not NTFS.

I have Windows 11. I have them in in backup on c but don’t know where in the Kdenlive files I need to copy them to.

Hi @larrygood, and welcome to the forum and community.

You can move the clips anywhere you want and where Kdenlive can access them once you a) created a new project, or b) started the current one and instructed Kdenlive to search for missing clips.

I may not fully understand the problem you are having but this is what I deduced from the title and the short text. You may need to elaborate …

hi, welcome.

are you using kdenlive on windows or linux?

can you access the drive and/or the folders from the file manager?

Most of know that you need a specific program to access NTFS file systems in Linux. It’s not native.

If I’m reading this correctly, @larrygood is on Windows 11. Not on Linux.
Or maybe I’m reading it completely wrong

this is all done for me by the plasma desktop…i’ve never had any issues accessing my ntfs drives with the default plasma settings in kubuntu.

Then Kubuntu is including those files. Most distros do not.
