I don’t know what happened to the current update, but it seems I’m unable to drag a section of a clip from clip monitor window to my timeline following version 25.12.2 update. I also can’t grab and calibrate clip in project monitor window when apply ‘Transform’ effect.
What program are you talking about? Kdenlive?
I was referring to Kdenlive Video editor version 25.12.2
I added the kdenlive tag and edited the title to make it easier for the right people to find this.

Please state your OS and how you installed or from where you downloaded Kdenlive.
In order for the Transform effect to show the red box for handling the clip directly in the project monitor, Edit Mode must be enabled.
I couldn’t reproduce your issue with dragging a zone (defined by In and Out points) from the clip monitor to the timeline. It works for me without a glitch. Can you perhaps share a screen recording?
