Accepting pair request between two Androids doesn't do anything (fails)

Hi,

i’m trying to pair a stock OnePlus 7 Pro with a Pixel 7 Pro running GrapheneOS.

The devices are on the same Wifi and subnet without any restrictions (firewall rules) between Wifi devices.

They can see each other and i have successfully paired my OnePlus with a different Android phone on the same Wifi as well.

The pair request gets shows up on the other device, but when accepting, the control panel pops up for a few frames before returning to the previous view of the other device being unpaired with the button for sending a pair request.

You can see the exact behaviour in this 15 second long video i recorded: https://youtube.com/shorts/isZ2exb4sdM

I have gone through the troubleshooting section here without success: KDEConnect - KDE UserBase Wiki

My question is: What am i doing wrong? Could there be a GrapheneOS configuration that causes pairing to fail?

Thank you very much for reading and any advice

Tried it today again (the other way around which i also tried before) but this time it worked… mysterious.
