I have an impairment which makes looking at bright white backgrounds difficult and painful.
Or just adjust to the system theme would be better.

I have similar issue and I use Amy-Dark-Aurorae-6 in Colors, Plasma Style and windows decor.
Applications Style, Icons and Cursors is Breeze (in Cursors is Dark Breeze).

Doesn’t Minuet always come with a light background?
Looks like it, but there’s absolutely no need to have that and for people with eyesight problems it’s unusable.
I think the issue is not the system theme at all - Minuet looks more like a browser than an application, and so this question is similar to ‘why doesn’t your website have a dark mode’…
Minuet uses QQC2 for it’s interface, unlike traditional QtWidgets.
Anyway, it’s helpful to mention which desktop environment you use, how Minuet was installed, and any other system information included if you run ‘kinfo’ at least.
gentoo, plasma, emerge.
