After Frameworks 6.14.0 update, KwalletManager can't open wallet

Since this week-end kde neon update, KwalletManager no longer opens my default wallet (kdewallet). The file kdewallet.kwl is present in ~/.local/share/kwalletd
Tried to create a new wallet, entered its name, and nothing happens, no wallet is created.

kwalletd6 and ksecretd seems to be running :

$ ps aux | grep wallet
xabi        2160  0.0  0.6 1002368 110960 ?      Sl   10:44   0:00 /usr/bin/kwalletd6
$ ps aux | grep secret
xabi        1230  0.0  0.6 1004108 110832 ?      SLl  10:44   0:00 /usr/bin/ksecretd --pam-login 13 14

Tried to open the default wallet with kwalletmanager :

$ kwalletmanager5 kdewallet
KCrash: Application 'kwalletmanager5' crashing... crashRecursionCounter = 2
Erreur de segmentation (core dumped)

Any help ? Ask if more information is needed.

Same here…

Seems like the bug was already reported here 504082 – kwalletd6 6.14.0 crashed when starting Plasma

I have a lot of issues because of this. So I’m wondering if this is not affecting everyone… Means, I was awaiting some more complains here.

There’s another topic talking about Chromium starting problems due to kwallet crash (sorry, I can’t include links in my post).
It’s curious how the update went wrong for several users, but in different ways. I use Brave browser (Chromium based) and it starts normally. Even kwalletd6 seems to be running.

Meanwhile, I reinstalled kwalletmanager and kf6-kwallet, and tried to create a wallet from a fresh new user account : same problem :frowning:

Ok, today’s KDE Neon User kf6-kwallet update (build31 → build32) solved the problem, my wallet is back and it can be accessed.
