Against what would a bug against the taskbar be written?

I was noticing a bug on my KDE 6.1.4 installation on Fedora 40. If I start Firefox and right click the taskbar icon for the running instance I see the popup menu contains a “Recent Files” list at the top and a control below it “Forget Recent Files”. When I click that “Forget Recent Files” widget the “Recent Files” list doesn’t clear.

So would that be a bug against plasma-workspace ?

Will answer my own post, I think that’s going on is the System Settings → Recent Files was set:
“Keep History:” “Forever”
“Remember opened documents:” “For all applications”

So apparently that overrules the “Forget Recent Files” control in the icon menu, really that “Forget Recent Files” should grey out in that case or not even show.
So instead of “Forever” I put a finite time in there of “For 1 Month” and Applied that.
Now the “Forget Recent Files” is working from the icon.

So call this Solved, apparently this is the intended behavior but it’s a bit unintuitive in the “Forever” case. IMO the widget should be greyed out for a “Keep History” of “Forever” since it’s a worthless control in that case (pressing it does nothing).

Now it’s working correctly entirely. I have no idea why. I flipped and flopped the Recent Files settings a few times and then exited firefox and tried different combinations. Now even with the “Forever” value the “Forget Recent Files” control flushes the file list. I think this is the best way for it to behave, the fact that you pressed the widget should mean you intend do to that and who cares if the “Forever” was set.
