Akonadi continuously prompts for Google authentication unexpectedly

Akonadi repeatedly opens popups requesting Google account authentication even after permission has already been granted. The prompts occur at random intervals, interrupting active tasks (such as playing media full screen)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Configure a Google email account within Akonadi or KDE Online Accounts.
  2. Grant the requested Google account permissions.
  3. Use the system normally or leave it idle.

Results
Google authentication dialogs appear randomly over active windows, requiring the user to reauthorize the account repeatedly.

Possibly what is causing it
Could concurrent email access from another client like Thunderbird be triggering token refreshes or invalidating Akonadi’s active session?

Is there a way to debug find out what is triggering this? and/or does anyone know how I can fix this issue?
