Allow mouse wheel events (scroll up/down) to be bound to Global Shortcuts on Wayland.

Component:
kwin or systemsettings | kcm_keys

Currently, KDE Plasma’s Global Shortcuts only recognize keyboard keys and standard mouse buttons (Left, Right, Middle). They do not recognize the mouse scroll wheel as a bindable input.

On Wayland, users can no longer use legacy tools like xbindkeys to map the scroll wheel to keyboard shortcuts. This significantly limits the usability of modern scrolling or tiling scripts

Haha did you ever use easystroke on X11? it was a dream.

Not only mouse gestures, but you could set all kinds of rockers 'n stuff - not to mention scroll up/down as a separate ‘key’.

Hopefully it’s going to come - as gestures are being worked on.

But I think it’s not going to happen in less than a year… so don’t hold your breath.

Well I used X11 with older distros on my old laptop xd

yeah it is really limiting because i can’t use the scroll wheel with carousel. and well im hoping devs would introduce this this year at least and
X11 compared to kde plasma’s Kwin is really limiting in terms of things you can do so that kinda sucks
