Any workaround to mirror the desktop content of screen 1 to screen 2?

I like to keep some stuff on my desktop and the “folder view” behaviour feels natural to me. I could possibly get used to another kind of desktop behaviour, if it’s manageable and if it would allow me to always have all icons of screen 1 displayed (at the same position) on screen 2 as well.

I’d really prefer, if don’t have to copy each icon to the other screen, but even that would be an improvement as it doesn’t seem to be possible in “folder view”.

Interesting, it doesn’t seem to allow you to select the same folder twice on the same activity.

However this seems to work

ln -s Desktop Desktop2

Then selecting “Desktop2” as the custom path for the second folder view

Thanks a lot for the reply. That’s a very good solution.

Funny thing is, that I already thought about this, but somehow I thought it wouldn’t work. I completely failed to realise that I can set the folder location differently for each screen.

Positions don’t match, but that’s not that big a deal.
