Hi, please make the application of emojis the default so that instead of going to the clipboard, they are applied automatically.
Success always!
KISS
Sometimes itās good to keep things simple, and this is likely the reason that this is not yet a default.
Letās try thisā¦
Meta.ea (see the āgearā) āEnter got it copied EscĆ2 takes you back to your entry point, and CtrlV puts your gear
āHere.
So hmmm the alternative would be for the Emoji selector to function as a virtual-keyboard.
Now Iāve said that, it sounds like a great idea⦠and it wouldnāt clog up my clipboard history with silly ![]()
stuff ![]()
FWIW work is already underway to leverage the virtual keyboard to give LONG PRESS options on letters, so Iām thinking this would be an interesting next step to blend the benefits of touchscreen keyboards with our mechanical devices.
How would you, for example, do this in a terminal emulator? I agree that having a separate window to manage isnāt the best approach, but I donāt think that this one is either.
What should happen is simply making it a tray icon.
@ben2talk canāt wait till I need one of these to remember which key = which emoji ![]()
