I can’t hear sound when I import mp3 (from different sources - even from YouTube library for free use) files in Kdenlive 23.04.3. I can see the moving graphics of the sound but I do not hear any sound.
Hit Ctrl+Shift+, (comma) → playback → Audio driver should be set to “Wasapi” or “DirectSound”.

I tried your suggestion but the result is the same.
Make following check: Start Kdenlive → on the task bar, right click on the speaker icon on bottom right (sys-tray) → click on: sound mixer → Do you see the Kdenlive icon? If yes, move the slider up until you hear sound from Kdenlive.
