AudioTube 26.04.3 No longer working

System: Debian Stable 13
Program Version: 26.04.03
Updated?: Yes.
Issue: No music will play, throws an error which I will attach here. Never had the issue until I did the Flatpak update.
Installation Method: Flatpak
Base DE: GNOME

Two short questions here:

  1. Why install Flatpak instead of a repository version
  2. Are you getting a Plasma related error?

I say this because I use Audiotube but installed it from my repository, so I have 26.04.3-1 and it works fine.

You should also include some information, at the very least this:

Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.28.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1
Kernel Version: 7.1.5-4-MANJARO (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Radeon Graphics
Memory: 17 GB of RAM (16.1 GB usable)
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics

Then you should include any error messages. It looks like a runtime error of some kind, Audiotube needs frameworks 6.7 and your system has frameworks 6.6.

You could try installing flatpak install org.kde.Platform//6.10 and/or update flatpak update.

But the flatpak installs the 6.10 runtime.

❯ flatpak info org.kde.audiotube | grep Runtime
Runtime: org.kde.Platform/x86_64/6.10

That’s correct. Sorry, I edited that in…

But hey, looks like the flatpak’s broken, I have the same error so I’ll just purge that and reinstall the repo version.

I was told the repo version would cause the UI to break…I’m guessing that’s not the case then. Should I open a detailed bug report then?

if it’s any help to anyone that happens to have the same issue - old (1 commit before the current) commit works fine + thing has been opened

Just a side note: I didn’t even know KDE had their own frontend for YouTube Music. I’ve been using

Just placing this here if anyone needs it

UPDATE: I checked out AudioTube, it’s nice! But it needs a lot of UI/UX improvements. I’d be willing to implement them if I have the time
