Automatically switching panels when switching from tablet mode to laptop mode on a 2-in-1 laptop

Hi,

I’ve started using KDE on a 2-in-1 laptop, and have so far been pleasantly surprised at the comfort of using it.

However, when using tablet mode, I would like to have a panel with fewer elements on it. This is because I may well use the machine in portrait mode while a tablet. In this case the menu bar gets very squished, making it hard to operate (see picture)

As a workaround I could look for a layout that works well for both tablet/portrait, and laptop-mode use. However, I would prefer to have an optimized layout for both.

Is this possible to achieve somewhere? If not, it would be a great feature (at least for me ;)).
