# Big delay after click on plasma-shell?

Lately I’ve been having this issue where there is a big delay between clicking on a plasmoid on the shell and it showing the miniapplication. This only happens after first boot or after restarting the shell.

This is my system info:

Operating System: NixOS 26.05  
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.6  
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.26.0  
Qt Version: 6.11.1  
Kernel Version: 7.1.10-zen1 (64-bit)  
Graphics Platform: Wayland  
Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 4500 6-Core Processor  
Memory: 32 GiB of RAM (31.1 GiB usable)  
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 6600

Looking at your [YouTube video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpnPcyVtSR8), that is an issue with the hard drive? Maybe, i dunno.

Some extra info:

Checking journald, whenever I click the volume applet after a restart I see

```auto
Invalid path data; path truncated.

```
