Black screen on boot

For some reason, when i boot it just waits forever on a black screen. I’ve seen online to hit ctrl alt f2 to get a terminal, bit that doesnt do anything. ctrl alt f1 however opens a page of start jobs (i think that’s what they’re called?). attatched is an image of the black screen and an image of the text that shows up after ctrl alt f1

if it means anything, i am on arch linux

(also sorry if this is worded awful im lowk a linux noob)

In Ctrl+Alt+F2 (aka tty2) were the place of SDDM and Desktop. Before I remember that was in Ctrl+Alt+F7 (aka tty7). All this Ctrl+Alt+Fx are ttyX. Other terminals are Ctrl+Alt+F1 (tty1), Ctrl+Alt+F3 (tty3), Ctrl+Alt+F4 (tty4), etc and you can log as a user in text console.

I tried the consoles you mention, and If I go to tty1 I have a login (after your screenshot 2).

In tty2 I have a black screen as your first screenshot.

The desktop is in tty3 for me.

Try to do Ctrl+Alt+F3 or other more numbers.
