I’m currently running Plasma 5.24 on Kubuntu LTS, so this may very well be a feature that’s already implemented. When moving files around, be it within my filesystem or dropping a file into another application, it’s sometimes a hassle to position to “providing” window in such a way where the drop area of the “receving window” isn’t blocked. Could there be an option implemented so that, when filing over a window with a file, the window being hovered over is brought to the front so this isn’t an issue? Thanks in advance!
click on the desktop and type “focus”
go to the settings page(s) from the search result and try playing with those settings.
Another option: drag the file to the target window’s icon on the taskbar - the target window should then pop up to the top.
