Bug/problem related to KWIN/PLASMA (across multi-distro)

I see these lines regularly, always on the desktop and always dissappear when clicking on the desktop. Always appear when moving windows.

Please detail you system info.
kinfo output.

Operating System: Bazzite 42
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.14.0
Qt Version: 6.9.0
Kernel Version: 6.14.6-106.bazzite.fc42.x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor
Memory: 27.0 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor 1: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER
Graphics Processor 2: AMD Radeon Graphics

I also have video footage. Can I share that somewhere? It shows exactly how exactly how the lines appear and dissappear.

So, you must have two graphics drivers loading on bootup, a reasonably new processor and a custom kernel.. quite a few degrees of freedom in hardware.. interesting. Well, good luck @meven

@meven @eeyore It’s fixed.
Can someone also make a bug report for me?

It’s related to the scaling. It was on 125% by default. And that caused the lines. When I set it to 100%, they’re gone, even with shaking windows alot.

Thanks for letting us know. Good to here.

That’s up to you, we didn’t experience the issue, we don’t have the hardware or the environment to reproduce it AFAICT:

Just fill in the information you gave here, that’s a bug for kwin. (kinfo, symptoms description, screenshot, resolution and a link to here)

It seems other have encountered similar issues:

fractional scaling perfection is not an easy task, and can only achieve approximation.
