Just signed up for an invent.kde.org account because it wouldn’t let me login with the account I use here on discuss.kde.org. Can the same account be used across both or are they in fact separate?
Go to associated accounts in discuss and link the KDE Invent one
I only see options for Google and Github.
Same here, just checked
I believe you can use an identity.kde.org account to login to both discuss and invent, but if you set up an account here on discuss it can only be used here and you also need an identity.kde.org account to login to invent.kde.org.
I just tried again with my identity.kde.org account and it wouldn’t login. Seems the two are completely separate (unless perhaps you’re a KDE Contributor)??
IIRC I used an Identity account for both Discuss and Invent
I just spent some time on this: https://discuss.kde.org/ is sadly not connected to https://identity.kde.org/, but https://invent.kde.org/ uses the login you create at the identity sub-domain.
So, we need separate logins for discuss and invent / identity. ![]()
Who knows what is needed for all the others! List of subdomains for Kde.org
The way it works is Discuss can sign you up by using the “As a KDE Contributor” button which calls Invent for Single Sign-On (and thus in the end, but indirectly, Identity).
I directly created my account with this, and the issue is I don’t know if you can merge the logins after manually creating a account here though.
