Can folder view pop-ups display more than 6 items?

Hello,

My main activity uses the folder view container displaying my “main” folder (where everything goes before I sort/delete files).

I’m a heavy user of the folder pop-up thingy that appears when you click the small “up arrow” icon on the folders in the “main” folder.

Problem is the pop-up is very small and only shows 6 items (3 columns, 2 rows), and there are some times where this being so small forces me to open Dolphin for something that I could do from Plasma just as well.

My question is: Is there a way to increase the size of those pop-ups to, say, 5x4 instead of 3x2?

could you post a screen shot of what you are asking about?

i’m lost.

The top left pop-up.

oh, this thing…

honestly never noticed that before… that is handy.

no idea how to configure that, probably hard coded.

its controlled by this setting from Configure Desktop

did some googling and found that the kwin meta+___ shortcuts work on this popup

so you can move the popup by just using the meta key and dragging it.

and, most importantly, you can resize it!

i have meta+ctrl+v set to maximize vertically and this is the result

Okay, meta+right click works. Thanks.

I never thought of it as a window, so I never thought to use the usual shortcuts for windows.

you can also use quicktile to attach the view to an edge or a corner of the screen

meta+arrowkeys

I played a bit with it, when I move the preview popup from one side of the screen to the other, child popups spawn where they should have before I moved the parent instead of near the new position of the parent.

Maybe that deserves a bug report.
