Can we have more detailed blog categories?

Although I am notified of the first post of every Community > Blogs post, I’m not interested in what @kdenlive posts, [1] or any from the krita authors, [2] but am in what @ThisWeekInKDEApps does, and the “This Week In Plasma” series.

I could unsubscribe, but Discourse doesn’t allow me to follow a user, like @ThisWeekInKDEApps, so that’s inequivalent, and I don’t want to stalk all of @ngraham’s posts merely so that I can be notified of his “This Week In Plasma” posts.

Consequently, can we have additional categories for “This Week In 𝑥” series?

This does seem like a good idea. Hopefully it gets implemented!

One option is to simply mute users you don’t wish to receive notifications from

@nathaniel.krebs, I don’t want to be prevented from seeing their content, though:

…nor do I want to not be notified if the account operator interacts with me.

Just spit balling ideas for things you can do right this very moment.

It is worth clarifying, however, that muting them doesn’t hide their content from you; it simply silences their notifications.
