Cannot access files through Dolphin (login succeeded)

I logged in to my university Box account through SFTP successfully, but I cannot seem to actually open any files. I can view filenames and folders and can open folders but cannot access any files or create new directories.

To test that this was not some sort of config issue on Box’s end, I logged in through the sftp command line and could download files through there.

To login through Dolphi, I went to the network section and pasted the following in the URL bar: sftp://<email address>@sftp.services.box.com/, then when a prompt came up for password I entered it and logged in sucessfully.

I have briefly looked through previous posts, but couldn’t find someone who had this exact issue.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated!

The question is: with which applications should the files be opened.

If I’m not mistaken, directly opening the files over sftp works using kio, which is specific to KDE applications.

Can you open the files after you copy them to your system?

Have you tried fish:// instead of sftp://? (fish is filesystem is ssh - a workaround for when sftp is disabled in the ssh deamon)

sorry for the late reply, fish does not work at all for me. As in the login does not work in dolphin. I get this error: “Unable to connect to server. Please check your settings and try again.”
