I’m having an odd problem with KMyMoney. I imported the data from Quicken several years ago. I recently discovered that one account balance on the Home page didn’t match what was in the Ledger. Further investigation shows the difference was the amount of the initial investment in this account. When the account was opened, two securities were purchased, half for each. Both purchases show up in the Ledger, but were two additional transactions. Each one was for half the amount of the initial deposit into the account, but it listed the number of shares as though the share price was $1.00. Additionally, for both of these transactions, there is nothing listed for the Security, but the Account part of the Ledger entry shows both the account and the Security, i.e. Account:Security for both of the Securities purchased. I was able to delete one of the entries, so now the difference is one half of the initial deposit. However, I am unable to edit or delete the remaining erroneous entry. This is an old account with nearly 300 entries and the Securities have been changed and merged over the years, so I really don’t want to start over with the data entry. I no longer have the Quicken files, so re-entering them isn’t an option.
