Cannot import kdenlive.otio file in Davinci Resolve

Hi!

Today I tried exporting my Kdenlive video projects in otio format to import them into Davinci Resolve. When I try to import timeline and then choose the video.otio file, Davinci crashes without any notification.

I googled around a bit and read on this forum that there was some error in the order inside the otio file exported by Kdenlive and it was suggested to install Kdenlive nightly build.

So I installed Kdenlive nightly build, but still the same issue persist.

When I import that video.otio back into Kdenlive, it imports just as it should. So that works fine.

But when I try to import that file into DVR, DVR just crashes.

Btw. My project is a 1080p 30fps project. The project in DVR where I try to import the timeline into is also 1080p 30fps.

Does anyone else has this problem?

Any suggestions?

Probably talk to the OTIO people, and/or Blackmagic - we don’t maintain OTIO, we just use it. And it is a ‘work in progress’, AIUI there are quite a few kdenlive supported things it can’t encode or transfer …
