Someone help me with this situation ?
I’ve no help, but the same situation.
On an new laptop I install a fresh downloaded kde neon.
After Installation I try to upgrade it, but run in that problem,…
solution for plasma5support:
Thanks everyone. Issue has been fixed. @alioth9 I tried your steps was still get errors.
I feel what fixed it was running ‘apt clean’, but I am not 100%.
However it happened, it’s fixed and able to run upgrades not. In the process of do a upgrade to 24.04
I have KDE Neon Testing.
Before upgrading to 24.04, it requires you to first install any updates in Discover.
Installing updates failed, the repair button also failed: and no indication on the GUI why it failed.
Updating via command line also did not help:
pkcon refresh
pkcon -v update

Thank you so much! Perfect, its works.
But this doesn’t help other people here who have other dependency issues.
In synaptic I see that plasma-workspace depends on plasma5support (>=6.2.0+p24.04 etc)
and that it breaks plasma5support (<6.2.0).
and I see that plasma5support is installed (the latest version).
I hope the devs can figure out why installing updates failed and that they can fix it.
@alioth9 sorted this out, I just added a minor syntax fix to their guidance as noted here: Update issue not letting me go to 24.04 - #9 by rikshaw
In short, and upgrade to plasma-workspace
while ignoring the plasma5support
dependency is needed to fix the circular issue. Once plasma-workspace
is upgraded, then can upgrade everything else and proceed.
