Certain apps won't maximise properly on second monitor

Hello,

I hope this is the right place to ask about this, I am not sure if it is a bug or if it is just something I need help with

When I am using specific apps, Electron and Elecwhat from what I have found, they will not maximize properly. Whenever i press the maximize button or press meta+PgUp, it will fill the window into the top left of the screen, but will leave quite a large area below and on the right of the window with nothing. The window still seems to be able to be interacted with in this blank space however there doesn’t seem to be a way which I have found for it to be displayed in the entire area. On top of this, whenever the window becomes active or inactive, the window makes itself smaller.

I will attach an image to show what happens exactly, but any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks!!

One of my friends recommended I ran env WAYLAND_DEBUG=1 /usr/bin/elecwhat to get some logs to help with debugging, which I will add below as a pastebin link

pastebin. com/gFfFigw3 (had to include space so i can send)

I hope this will make it easier for anyone to help

Hi, how are you?

I usually encounter this problem when I’m using Chrome-based web apps and the monitor is scaled less than 100%.

This problem does not occur when using Firefox-based web apps, nor does it occur with windows that use Webkit.

If you’re using this type of scaling, there probably isn’t a good solution yet. I’ve tested many Chrome flags, Wayland flags, variables, and nothing has worked.
