Change font of KDE widget

Hello all,

I want to change the font for the built-in media player widget, but the widget doesn’t have a configuration menu like other widgets. It’s font changes with the ‘General’ font in settings but I don’t want to have a monospace font for everything. How do I configure only the widget’s font?

How do I configure only the widget’s font?

There is no option to do that currently, but you can file a feature request and wait for someone to implement it: https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=plasmashell in component pick Media player widget and in severity select wishlist

Alternatively, you could:

  1. Edit this specific widget manually to set a custom font, you will have to learn a bit of QML and maintain your local copy of the widget
  2. Use a third party widget that supports custom font, e.g PlasMusic Toolbar
