I’m trying to delete an account I’ve closed from the account list. However, KMM won’t let me. I zeroed it out, but realized another account I do use was mistakenly setup as a subaccount for the now unused account. How do I rectify this? How do I move that subaccount to the correct top account?
Edit: in Institution View, the account is under the correct institution. In Account view >Assets it is under the wrong institution. Clicking and trying to drag does nothing.
The institution shouldn’t block deleting the account, but the issue of having a subaccount might. You should be able to deal with that in the Accounts View, not the Institutions View.
Thanks. That was not working. I’ve been having a lot of trouble. Especially since I updated to 5.2.2-8119572 on the Windows machine. Crashes, and perhaps file corruption. I’ve not had this before. Anyway, I’ve decided to abandoned trying to fix the file and started a new one. This allows me to start with a fresh year. (“Year-end archiving” the only feature I miss from Quicken) I did my own thing over the last 3 years with KMM, and I suspect I was doing many things incorrectly. I’ll have a few questions for my new set-up which I’ll put together in a separate thread. Thanks again for your help.
Did you take a look at the handbook which explains a lot of things and especially section 3?
