You have to install the sddm-kcm package if you haven’t already, then go into system settings, search SDDM in the top left, open the only item, and in that menu in the selected login theme there is a wallpaper button. Clicking that allows you to select an image.
You can open the start menu, in the top right corner, next to the pin button there is the settings button and in that menu you can set the icon.
some help for a linux noob please
I tried through the software manager to search for sddm-kcm/sddm/kcm but it didnt show up
I tried searching on youtube. it just shows videos on how to install themes through sddm
Try search via terminal/command. They are more accurrate than the software manager that are available. Which Distro are you using?
