System Settings does a fairly decent job for setting Login page appearance - i.e Date Time, Wallpaper etc. What I would like is control over where items are displayed (appearance in integrated fashion like SDD Maldives for example) - Where to display each & every item; Adding items like logos over top of wallpaper and so on. Along with that - others requests for user control - (visual user lists vs actuals with hidden users) seem quite appropriate as well.
Can’t you do that by editing the qml? Dunno, I could be wrong. What do I know.
Can’t show you some icons due to the limit of the sddm-greeter --test-mode --theme and the positioning but..
Are we referring to the fork of SDDM?
Not intended – More of a support for alternate distributions (e.g. Cosmic, KDE on Manjaro) and businesses which desire a front end to match their needs. And I gues individuals that find a different look more appealing & do not wish to muck things up by manipulating configuration files.
Is there any documented method of customising Plasma Login Manager? I have themes applied to KDE Plasma and the login screen looks completely out of place. I remember applying SDDM themes from KDE’s Settings around 3-4 years back, I don’t see that option for it any more.
Aside from that, why is there still no option for changing the login-screen clock’s format in the Settings menu? I set my system’s clock format to 24-hour format but the login screen is still 12-hour format, with no options to change it from Settings > Login Screen. I had to edit /etc/locale.conf to get 24-hour format, which shouldn’t be the case after all these years.
