Colour of KDE 6.7 Windows title text

I need help Changing the Title text colour for the Active and inactive Window Title Text

I think it is bad that there is no details on this anywhere or have i missed something

I would also like details on all menu item in the colour section so i can setup my ui the way i would like it

I have been able to fix the colour change of title bar text by updating the config file i was not able to find the way to do it in the UI but the config file is able to update it

Config File is kdeglobals and the line that need to change for the title bar text colour is

[Colors:Header]
ForegroundNormal=255,255,255

[Colors:Header][Inactive]
ForegroundNormal=85,170,255

Once you have updated this you will need to save and then logout and in so the changes take affect

if any one has a better way let me know

System Settings → Colors & Themes → Colors. In the bottom-right corner of the existing color schemes, you can find an Edit button; click it to modify the colors; use Save As to save them as a personal scheme.

There are numerous places to find this.

Opening System Settings everything is categorised so “Appearance & Style” would be a good place to look.

Then there is https://docs.kde.org
You can search for “titlebar appearance” for example and get this:
docs.kde.org - searching: titlebar appearance

In the KDE Plasma Help Centre installed on your machine will also give you similar results.

You could try the “Help” button at the bottom of the window.

Thank you I found a fix to the problem already with the config file after the fix I noticed no change in the UI settings however the title bar text changed

I looked though the location you said was not able to find the details I needed also the 3 AI model I was also using was not able to locate the details needed

But I did fix it after finding what the config file was

Thank you however that no the problem I know the location it is not clear what item there is the correct one for the title bar text also in the UI settings change it also changes it for more than the item you need in config file you can set it for what ever you need

I had already i added below for you make it easier for you to read

the config file is as easy as it get to update

This is the KDE Plasma 6.7 on Fedora 44 so your KDE version and distro version may change thing but here no UI Setting anymore

I have also found you get different option on different colour set used

So in my use case need to use the config File to edit in your use case maybe ok to use the UI why use one of the other all depends on what was close to your colour set you like most however this is fixed now

That is a problem with your theme (OrchisDark), not with KDE Plasma. Your theme specifies the old legacy/Window Manager(WM) color roles.

In OrchisDark.color:

[WM]
activeBackground=40,40,40
activeBlend=40,40,40
activeForeground=223,223,223
inactiveBackground=50,50,50
inactiveBlend=50,50,50
inactiveForeground=223,223,223,100

activeBackground = active titlebar background color
activeForeground = active titlebar text color

and the same for inactive.

If you use one of the default themes, you will have those settings available.

This has been fix and not by the item you added in your last post but by the item in the post i marked as Solved and below now i am done with this and yes if you use a different them the setting are there but not all the default one

i been able to fix it with

[Colors:Header]
ForegroundNormal= Active Title Bart Text

[Colors:Header][Inactive]
ForegroundNormal= Inactive Title bar Text

in the Default Breeze Classic it has the setting in UI but that is the only one that does have it but now i have discovered this i found that others that you download may have or not it is hit and miss at least on my setup this is Still a KDE issue as this should be across the board with the at least the themes that are shipped with the system.

Now that i have discovered that they have different item in the UI i will also check the Config file to see what is different there as well as they will be different i think but till i do that i will not know as it is working i will do it when i have some time.

Default Breeze Classic it has the setting in UI

in Breeze Dark Does not have it same with Breeze light

Please remember this is a community forum where other people come to find answers to problems also. It is not a place to only get your problems solved, but a record of solutions to help everyone. So whilst you have solved the issue for you others coming here trying to find a solution to a similar problem but perhaps using a different theme, your solution may not work and is not necessarily the best solution.

The themes that are shipped with the system are determined by your distribution. My distribution only shipped Breeze and Breath and both light and dark versions have this option. The theme you are using is community written and is therefore unsupported and it is up to the author to include these options, and up to you to request them if they are not included.

if you check the screen shot from my last post it reports that the dark Breath does not have these option so what distro are you using as i am on Fedora 44 KDE 6.7 if Your does have it them maybe it is a fedora issue i have added the Drak Breath for you below be good to know what distro your on if it does have the option in the UI changing the config file will work on all but it is what the OS uses to know what to display the UI option will only look at that file and give a visual of what is in the Config file
