and choose a public time server from the Time server dropdown list.
But I haven’t seen this dropdown list in recent times. Is it gone for good? Depending on some backend choice?
Are there other ways to specify the server to be used? We are using Kubuntu 22.04 and trying to get it qualified for a use at a big automotive company so they might want us to configure their own on-premise time server
If it helps, on my distribution, I use chrony for NTP and this handles my date and time. On this same distribution, the option to Set date and time automatically is greyed out in System Settings and hovering over this notes No NTP utility has been found.
While /etc/chrony.conf uses pool.ntp.org by default, any NTP server could be configured.
How so? It fails to mention where the setting from the KCM went and it also fails to mention where to configure timesyncd (it is at /etc/systemd/timesyncd.conf)
