I am planning to install a Fedora KDE Spin and would like to connect to my WiFi Router using WPS, but when I click “Connect” it first asks for a password instead of trying to connect with the Router (while I have already pressed WPS). Is there a way around this?
I’m wondering the same.
I tried a couple distros “live” from USB and I was able to connect via WPS with various efforts:
- POP: it has a WPS setting on the Wifi connect!
- various others: the command
sudo wpa_cli wps_pbc
as described at https://torstenzimmermann.de/wordpress/wlan-wi-fi-wps-nutzen/
worked - KDE Neon Plasma: neither of the above
need to enter the password
