Crash at start up I get the splash screen (as shown) then that goes away and nothing. Using win 11 pro AMD system with AMD Radeon RX9070 XT 16 GB card and 32 GB system ram.

Looks like you are using the daily/nightly build. This is not meant for production use as it may have bugs and was not tested thoroughly or on all platforms.
I have tried uninstalling with Revo Uninstaller and reinstalling with 26.04.3 and 25.12.2. But it’s the same out come. Everything was fine until one day it started this.
Have you tried this?
Also, see whether this problem exists with the standalone version.
Yes I tried the troubleshooting windows issues and I have tried to install the standalone but I can’t install because there is no exe file. Thank you really appreciate your help. Any other ideas?
The standalone is a self-extracting ZIP file. Once you had it extract in the folder you specify, go to C:\the\folder\kdenlive\was\extracted\to\ bin and look for kdenlive.exe. You can start Kdenlive from there, or create a shortcut to the Desktop for easier access.
Thanks I never would have found it in the bin file. Uniformity same out come splash screen and nothing after that. The reason why I used REVO uninstall was because it finds and removes from the root directory, but something must still be in there that I can’t find and nether can REVO. I really liked the app when I was able to use it. Thanks again.

I’m facing a similar problem with kdenlive on my ASUS TUF 15 Notebook with NVidia RTX 4050.
I worked on a Project last Week with not Problems. Today i wanted to continue, but i get some Failure during the startup while loading the project.
I did a restart and also update to the latest official version, but there’s no change in the behaviour.

Please wait for 26.08 to be released sometime this or next week. If the problem persists, please open a bug report with as much information about your system, installation method of Kdenlive, Windows Event Viewer output/data, and what can be done to reproduce the error. Thanks!
It seems you have updated Windows. Do you have updated your graphics driver? If not, please do so and try again.
I am having the same issue with the new 26.08.0 splash screen and nothing else. I think I know what is cause it. I think it was an update to my AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Graphics card.
