Hello everyone. I am trying to do an edge crop effect where a title clip is cropped over time coming from both the left and right. I tried edge crop and it allowed you crop from the left to the right, but that’s it. Is there another way of doing this to achieve what I want?
Have you tried the Crop, Scale and Tilt effect?
I just searched for that and I don’t seem to have it? I looked in the manual and it obviously exists, but its not in my effects where its meant to be. I’m going to update Kdenlive and see if it appears. I tried using the search function as well and nothing.

Ok so I just checked and I already have the latest version of Kdenlive installed. Not sure what to do now. Can effects be installed independently?
What OS? Standalone/appimage or installed/flatpak?

Or rotoscope it - that gives you near infinite flexibility for masking what is shown…

Ok so I’ve tried rotoscoping now. It does work, but it seems like a rather tedious way of doing things. If I could use the crop, scale, and tilt function that would make more sense. I’ve googled the issues with the missing effect and it seems I’m not the only one on MacOS who has this issue. Not sure if that’s a bug or not.
Alpha Shapes could do the trick, too
