Right now the aspect ratio dropdown only has default, 16:9, 9:16, and 1:1
It might be useful to be able to render any crop of the project, like if I want to render left and right halves into separate files. I would do 8:9 ratio, but custom ratios/resolutions would be ideal.
Also a custom offset might be nice, instead of it always being centered. Although I can just include the full sequence as a single track in another sequence to transform it all at once.
What do you actually want to do that needs this?
Even the fixed ratio aspect cropping is probably of relatively little practical use in most cases - because even though lots of social media focused people want to Produce Content in multiple aspect ratios, very few people want to watch a 16:9 video that’s simply been cropped to a 9:16 aspect.
You need to actually produce videos to suit those aspects. not just crop one to the other. Which usually means you’re starting with different project formats in the first place. And we don’t really handle that as well as we could yet.
