The plasma-login-manager doesn’t display any icons when a custom icon theme is applied.
This issue has never appeared in base SDDM for me.
I am also trying to figure out how to get theming to work. Hitting “apply plasma settings” in the KCM worked for me for a few things, but I cannot for the life of me get my custom wallpaper plugin to load.
