Customising the KAdressbook view (with the grantlee editor)?

I’m currently setting up a new PC with Kubuntu 25.10. I’ve installed Kontact v6.5.1 (25.08.1) as my PIM.

The wasted space in KAddressBook has annoyed me for a long time. However, I find it absurd that the website entry isn’t displayed on the right. To open the website, I have to edit the contact, copy the link to the website and open it in the browser. Why make it so complicated? Incidentally, email, messaging and blog are displayed on the right.

I’ve now discovered by chance that the Designer for Contact is installed. Unfortunately, I’ve no idea how it works. F1 isn’t much help again, but at least it refers to Grantlee. I can’t find anything useful there, though.

Does anyone know this tool? Is it even meant to customise the display of contacts in KAddressbook?

Or have I overlooked a setting for KAddressbook?

In the contact editor, under the Contact tab I put a url in the Web section and identified it as a Work address. then I clicked ok. then I see the “Work ” in the right side pane.

and I can click that and it opens my web browser to that page.

I’m using a more modern Kontact version (26.04)
