Default applications - passing arguments to application

Is there a way to pass arguments to the entries in the default applications options in KDE Plasma system settings? I want to list my webmail as the email client which means passing a URL to LibreWolf but it doesn’t seem to accept anything.

As a bonus follow-on question: The entries in default applications seem to be stored in ~/.config/mimeapps.list which list .desktop files. Can arguments be passed to a .desktop launcher or would I have to create a new .desktop launcher specifically for webmail within LibreWolf?

I think you need to create a new .desktop file and consider LibreWolf and the URL of your webmail to form the “program”.

Actually LibreWolf might be able to do this for you.
A lot of browsers have an action to turn the current website into a “web app”, meaning they create a shortcut (.desktop file) which runs them on the URL they are currently showing.

You could then make this “web app” your association for mail

They’ve removed it unfortunately. It would be nice if they allowed the user to make an informed decision but :person_shrugging:t3:
