Hi, we are using this setup right now:
Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS with Plasma 5.24.7 and wayland kde.
Im using multiple virtual desktops for each ticket.
When im opening a new application, like remmina, and click on that in the task bar, it changes to the virtual desktop, where this app (remmina) is already open.
I didnt find any solution, to prevent this behavior globally.
Any ideas?
task manager > configure > behavior > show only tasks
check: from current desktop
now if you click on an app in the task manager it will not take you to the open instance but will instead create a new instance on the current workspace.
If you select an existing window on another desktop, then you’ll go to that window.
However, I can MIDDLE click to open a new instance on my current desktop using icons-only task manager.
If the app is already open and you want to see it on your current desktop, then you can also PIN it to all desktops, so it’s location isn’t specific to a particular desktop.
