Discover fails to re-open after closing the window

Fedora 43, Plasma 6.6.3/6.6.4: if I start Discover, close its window and then try to open it again, the icon in the Task Manager tray shows the loading animation for a few seconds before silently giving up. The process itself doesn’t crash, in fact I have to manually kill it to open a “fresh” Discover instance.
journalctl output doesn’t clear up much:

Apr 14 14:57:54 fedora systemd[1521]: Started app-org.kde.discover@1ca244efd76b4758bf42cf33d345314a.service - Discover - Software Centre.

This (or something similar at least) also occasionally happens to System Settings, but not often enough for me to reliably reproduce, meanwhile it happens to Discover every time.

same happens with me ArchLinux, same Plasma version
