This was noticed from a non-Linux program run within a Wine-Proton… instance? But when hitting the maximize window button, the program would often expand and then bring the window back to the size it originally was.
I’ve yet to have this happen when I double click the title bar to expand.
I know that it’s likely something with running off system programs causing this, but that there is such a difference in reliability to expand the window, that I can’t help but be curious.
If there are questions about my system, I’m still pretty fresh, so I’ll require some assistance on what commands to use to bring up the specific information about my system set up and versions for various things.

as for how wine or steam programs behave on the plasma desktop, those kinds of questions are better directed at your wine or steam support forums since neither of those are a part of kde or plasma… you could also try your distro’s support forum as they will be more familiar with how those packages work on your distro.
my suggestion would be to install the bottles flatpak and try running your windows program with that (much easier and safer than wine), or perhaps upload the program to steam and run it thru proton, if they will let you.
