Does it have just one auto save file?

So crash magnet here. I had a lot of crashes with Kdenlive just today and I recovered from the past crashes but on the last crash after it loads the recovery file…it crashes again.
So does it keep just one auto save file? Because if it does that’s kinda risky.

Go to Kdenlive Menu > Project > Open Backup File and select the one you think is still good …

Yeah but those backups only exist if I manually save right?

The crash recovery auto-save ensures that if the power goes out, you’ll never lose more than the last 3 seconds worth of work.

The backups ensure you can always revert to your last saved state every time you save the project.

Neither of them save your undo stack - that would just make the disk space consumed by project files grow exponentially until you lose work because your disk is full.

If you don’t click the button to checkpoint backups at Appropriate Times, then yeah you don’t get to restore to those times.

But that said, if you can get a backtrace of the crash, or post a project file other people can reproduce it with, any crash that isn’t a power outage it a real bug to fix if we have enough information to fix it.
