Dolphin cannot lock LUKS1/2 partitions after initial mount

Heya, first post so please let me know if I need to share more info.

While Dolphin lets you decrypt and mount LUKS1/2-encrypted partitions, there doesn’t seem to be a feature to quickly re-encrypt the same partition similar to what Nemo is capable of. Is there any GUI method of doing this without going to KDE partition manager and manually re-locking it?

Hi! I’m not aware of a method personally, but I’m only loosely familiar with managing encrypted volumes - others here may have some more ideas.

For what it’s worth, this does seem somewhat related to a bug report that’s been filed here: 458934 – Dolphin should cryptsetup-close ejected LUKS volumes

That bug report concerns specifically “ejecting” a device - I’m not sure if that applies in your case, but if it does, that may be a good one to follow progress on, and if applicable confirm your experience on your current distribution.
