Dolphin doesn't honor "Focus Follows Mouse" in split view mode

Hi fellow KDE lovers!

I use Dolphin and Konsole side by side in split view mode.
KDE is set up to use “Focus Follows Mouse”, and it works just fine in most apps. In Konsole, when moving from view to view, the view containing the cursor correctly gets focus.

In Dolphin, moving the cursor from the active view to the one beside it in split view mode doesn’t change focus to the view under the cursor. In order to get focus there, I have to click in the desired view.

Is anyone else seeing this? Is there a way to change it, or is it a bug?

Hi - implementing that functionality does exist currently on the wishlist of feature requests for Dolphin: 412524 – Focus follows mouse support in split view and panels

Looks like a pretty clear use case, just in need of someone with the time and interest in digging into the code and implementing :slight_smile:
