Dolphin preview problems when using scaling

I am affected with this, and it annoys me a lot:
Preview pixelation and scale problems in Dolphin after upgrade from Dolphin 24.08.3 → 24.12.0

I often use Dolphin alone when working with images, and have no need for additional image viewer. Now, i don’t know if image is bad, because it always looks bad in dolphin preview :frowning:. Not only that, preview is both oversized and pixelated.

Problem is noticable only with scaling turned on, both in Wayland and X11.

Can anyone help with this?
Maybe there is some settings in Dolphin we can tweak?

You are encountering 497576 – Preview pixelation and scale problems in Dolphin after upgrade from Dolphin 24.08.3 -> 24.12.0 indeed, a fix is in the works.

I see that fix was merged to master today.
That was very quick!

I backported it to 24.12 but it didn’t make it to 24.12.1.
It will only reach users next month.
