When I middle-click to open a folder in a new tab, I would like that to be the active tab. This could be an option in the config.

Use SHIFT + Middle click
another buried treasure.
someone should be documenting these easter eggs.
i will have forgotten this by this afternoon.
now that i’m playing with it, it should really be the default left click behavior as standard.
Definitely not, but it could be made possible to have this configurable.
Currently this is not.
ok, i can see that it’s not desirable as the default since the primary goal is to change what is currently shown and choosing a new tab or window should be an extra step.
however.
but if you choose to open in a new tab either by the context menu, or by using the (undocumented) ctrl+LMB feature… it should take you to that new tab giving it focus.
just like when you choose to open in a new window either by the context menu, or by using the (also undocumented) shift+LMB feature… it presents a new window on top which has focus.
this should be the default behavior and having it NOT give focus to a new tab (or window for that mater) could be a configurable option, i suppose.
i can see no reason why tabs and windows should be treated differently in terms of focus.
unless i’m missing something.
I was more thinking of the middle-click to open folders and places in a new tab.
I can see why some people might not want that as default behaviour, but would be great to have this to be optional in the config, like firefox.
Would be nice to be able to simply have the option in Dolphin settings like we do for Tabs at the end. The idea should ALWAYS be to use as few steps as possible.
so you don’t like the idea.
wanna use your words to explain why?
Want to not deliberately misrepresent someone? I did not say I don’t like the idea. I said it needs to be an SELECTABLE option.
and the link to websearch image about feces was supposed to mean what then?
you seem hostile for no reason… so i’m gonna let you be.
Lie much? Don’t answer since we know its YES. You got you post called out and now you’re crying. As for the page I just typed poop into search just to bring up links to right click on. Don’t try to turn something that’s nothing into something. MUTED
