Double monitor, graphic pen and login: something strange

Hi,
from some days I have this issue.
Hardware background: 2 monitors, 1 wired USB mouse , 1 wired USB graphic pen.
Software: Neon with Plasma 6 and all the latest updates. X11 as graphic server.
At the start, the login is visible on both monitors with 2 input text fields where put password.
And now, first of all, a consideration about something I’ve always considered strange but, as it wasn’t a big issue, I’ve never reported: the login was possible just on the second monitor. Everytime I tried to click on the first monitor password text field, nothing happen, the text cursor never appeared… it appeared just if I click on the second monitor password text field. A bit strange but not a problem.

Now the new strange things:

  • in the second monitor I have the icons below the password input text field that are greyed out. I’m not 100% sure but, before the main issue I’m going to describe appear, the icons were like in the first monitor. It’s not an issue but just to describe everything changed
  • if I use my graphic pen and I click on the password text field of the second monitor, the text cursor appear, I put my password, I click ENTER key to go on, the password text field greyed out but nothing happen…seems like freezed. No real login.
  • at this point, if I use my mouse and I click on the password text field of the first monitor, the text cursor appear, I put my password, click ENTER and now login go on and I can use my Neon
  • if I use my mouse I can insert my password on the first monitor. With graphic pen not

Anyone else with a similar setup had this issue?
I tried to make some screenshots but Spectacle seems usable only after login…so I don’t know how to show this.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

I have the login problem that sounds like what you describe here, which is that my laptop plugged into an external monitor always presents two login boxes, one on the laptop screen and one on the monitor. This started after the 6.2 update and the Ubuntu rebase. The one on the monitor doesn’t log me in (nothing happens) but I can login using the one of the laptop. The icons under the login box on the monitor are greyed out.

Exactly my situation.
Anyone else with 2 monitors and this issue?

It seems now it’s half fixed after latest updates.
As half fixed, I mean that now, as before, as soon as I see the login page, the active text field is into the second monitor and if I insert there the password and press to login, the login happens. And this is the fixed part.
The “unfixed” is that if I select with my pen the text field of the first monitor, nothing happens and I still can just write my password on the second monitor. I have to use my mouse to be able to use the text field of the first monitor to login.
