Download and install AI tools outside of Kdenlive?

Hi there,

Is there a way to download and install the huge (in terms of GB) AI extensions, like Object Mask, separately and outside of Kdenlive for Windows?

The reason I’m asking is that I recently recommended Kdenlive to a friend who lives in a mountain village with a very slow internet connection. It would take her forever to install those via the internal mechanism.

If there is a way to download and install those extensions, I could do that for her and simply provide the files on a thumb drive. Glaxnimate was easy because it’s a separate piece of software that needs to be downloaded and configured. What we need for her is the same for the AI tools.

Yes, you can download the models yourself and move them to your friend’s computer without relying on Kdenlive’s internal installer. See here for more details. You can simply move the models to the correct location based on her OS.
